Our studio partnered with developer and owner Savanna to develop a brand identity for the Falchi Building. Previously a shoe and handbag factory, the building has a long, storied history of manufacturing. Located in the manufacturing district of up and coming Long Island City, we were able to present this premier creative space through creating an iconic brand identity. We continually update and design new assets as ownership's needs evolve. An emphasis was placed on bringing the brand to life in both the digital space as well as environmentally, with murals and unique building signage.
The lightbulb was chosen as the ultimate embodiment of a truly creative work environment. This icon representing the birth of an idea, the Eureka moment we all yearn for, was excuted in a clean, graphic manner. The red dot represents the point of inspiration, and also serves to locate you at this birthplace of inspiration, the Falchi Building.
The script typeface and hand drawn arrows embody the creative process of prototyping on a whiteboard. These design elements bring a human scale to this large property, and further emphasize the creative nature of the ideal tenant base.
The distinctive icon style and clean, declarative color palettes lend themselves to engaging digital applications. The hand-drawn arrows lead users to a natural engagement with the website, and allow for legibility in eblasts and social media posts.
The flexible brand identity lends itself to a wide variety of applications, including a cohesive set of giveaways and merchandise for the building.
